Gerhard Strasser from Ried im Innkreis came to Vienna in 1998, studied business and then caught wine fever from his good friend and winemaker Mario Migsich from Burgenland. He jumped at the chance to renovate the historical Kipferlhaus and join the real estate business, studying as a developer and real estate agent before founding his own company Immoschmiede GmbH in 2015. Since then Gerhard has overseen development of properties such as the Kipferlhaus, whose cellar is home to the first wineBANK in Austria, the perfect use for the medieval vaulted space.
In his free time, Gerhard is dedicated to the preservation of fine things: his hand-restored Vespa sidecar (built in 1951), historic buildings and, of course, perfectly matured wine.

Karl Weilhartner, born in 1954 in Upper Austria, is married, with two daughters. Karl dedicated his career to real estate and the professional restoration of historically listed buildings. In recognition of his public engagement with the Professional Association of the Chamber of Commerce and his work caring for historically listed buildings, the Republic of Austria awarded him the title of “Kommerzialrat” (Councilor of Commerce). Today he is involved in the development and care of his own historical properties, including Ennsegg Castle, Hackledt Castle and the Kipferlhaus in Vienna. As a hotelier and castle owner, Karl takes tremendous joy in the combination of art, historical constructions and gourmet (wine) life.
